West African Diamonds plc ('WAD') is incorporated in England. WAD is a diamond focused explorer with operations in Sierra Leone and Guinea. Formed from the West African assets of AIM listed African Diamonds plc and recently acquired additional licences in Guinea, WAD contains a portfolio of development and advanced and early exploration assets across West Africa. West Africa produces some of the highest value diamonds in the world.

WAD's alluvial diamond mine development in Guinea on the Bomboko Project is expected to come on stream in March 2009, with production in April 2009. In addition to Bomboko, WAD has two advanced stage exploration projects and one early stage exploration project in Sierra Leone and Guinea.


Result of General Meeting

At a General Meeting of WAD, all resolutions to effect the acquisition of Stellar and associated fundraising of £5 million (gross) were passed, conditional only on Admission.

In just a few days time, on 22nd February, West African Diamonds will hold an EGM. Provided there are no unforeseen hitches, shareholders will then vote through the company’s reverse takeover of Stellar Diamonds. And at that point, West African will officially cease to exist, and the enlarged Stellar will commence trading on Aim.
